Arch Hellen Med, 43(4), July-August 2026, 443-448 REVIEW The investigation of organizational culture in healthcare services in Greece M. Rovithis,1 A. Poulaki,2 S. Koukouli,3 M. Moudatsou,3 A. Stavropoulou,4 N. Rikos5 |
Organizational culture is a set of values, beliefs, perceptions, and practices that influence the behavior of an organization's member. In the healthcare sector, it has been associated with employee satisfaction and commitment, the quality of services provided, and patient safety. Most studies on organizational culture employ either a typological approach with results referring to one or more types of organizational culture, or a dimensional approach, which characterizes a culture based on its association with several continuous variables. In Greece, research on organizational culture, mostly within hospital settings, predominantly adopt a typological measurement approach that identifies the dominant or the desired organizational culture type, based on the underlying theoretical framework.
