OBJECTIVE The translation and cross-cultural adaptation of the scale "Parents' Strategies to Cope With Bullying" into Greek.
METHOD The original questionnaire was in English and the target version was in Greek. The process of translation into Greek was applied, followed by the translation of the Greek version into English and, finally, a check of the translation and cross-cultural adaptation process was carried out. To test the reliability of the questionnaire, a testretest study was conducted. Confirmatory factor analysis was performed to check validity.
RESULTS The kappa indices for all 18 questions of the questionnaire had high values indicating high reliability of the questionnaire. All the six factors of the questionnaire had high and statistically significant intraclass correlation coefficients, which also indicates high reliability. In the confirmatory analysis among the six factors of the questionnaire (Pearson correlation coefficients), in 12 out of 15 correlations the p-values were statistically significant. Therefore, the validity of the questionnaire was high.
CONCLUSIONS The Greek version of the "Parents' Strategies to Cope With Bullying" scale has high reliability and validity and is a valid tool for recording parents' strategies to manage bullying.
