Lunotriquetral (LT) ligament injuries concern a relatively often cause of ulnar-sided wrist pain. LT ligament has three components: volar, dorsal and proximal. The spectrum of injuries varies from isolated ligament tear to ones which coexist with other complex carpal-ligaments injuries. It is remarkable that the LT instability is possible to result in volar intercalated segment instability (VISI). The diagnosis of LT instability is quite difficult due to the normal radiographic appearance that often has; nevertheless, we have some clinical tests that can be useful for the diagnosis. The appropriate treatment of the LT ligament injuries depends on the cause, the chronicity, the stability of the LT joint and the degenerative carpal damages and it can be either non-operative or operative.

Key words: Clinical tests, Instability, Lunotriquetral ligament, Therapy, Wrist.
