Physical exercise, in combination with the application of appropriate psycho-educational methods, can contribute positively to the education and rehabilitation of children with Prader-Willi syndrome. For a child with Prader-Willi syndrome aged 10 years, a 30-week equine-assisted course of therapy was implemented, with one session per week lasting 30 min each. The method of non-participatory observation was used to evaluate the psychomotor ability, and the Pediatric Balance Scale (PBS) was used to assess balance. Definite development was observed in the psychomotor domain. Improvement in the balance was indicated by the final measurement of the PBS, which was higher than the initial score by 5/56 points.

Key words: Balance, Equine-assisted therapy, Prader-Willi syndrome, Psychomotor development.
