The pathophysiology of cardiac troponin release

Detection of increased troponin levels is observed in cases other than myocardial infraction. This suggests the existence of other mechanisms of troponin release, in addition to those of myocardial necrosis. In this review, the mechanisms of plasma troponin release are reported.
